Clarity Protein Skimmer for the first time introduced at the Holland Koi show.
The Holland Koi show is allegedly the biggest Koi show in the world. During 15th to 17th August, more than 20.000 people attended the show. In collaborations with Groothandel Smulders BV, the Clarity Protein Skimmer was for the first time exhibited at the show.
The unique protein skimmer is becoming established in the Koi market around the world, and the unit drew lots of attention at the show. Based on the attention of the unit and enquiries after the show, Clarity appears to have a big market in the Netherlands and surrounding countries.

CLARITY WTS launched the Clarity Protein Skimmer at the first Asian Koi Show, which was held from 2nd – 4th May 2008 at the Singapore Expo Hall. This was a very popular show with visitors and exhibitors from all over Asia. CLARITY WTS was together with Zion Koi Paradise Pte Ltd.
This was a very successful show for both Zion Koi Paradise and CLARITY WTS, and resulted in some immediate sales and further contacts for this important market.
March 2008
CLARITY WTS is working with leading research institutes in Norway in order to extend the applications of the Clarity Protein Skimmer.
One on-going project involves Bioforsk, or The Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research. This involves testing out Clarity on some of the various projects that Bioforsk is working on, such as removing nutrients and heavy metals from Public water purification systems, nutrient rich rivers, streams and lakes. These projects are on-going and are expected to yield interesting and useful data to further extend the applications of Clarity.
The other main collaborator is The Norwegian University of Life Sciences, also called UMB. At the UMB, CLARITY WTS has been testing out optimal also called UMB. At the UMB, CLARITY WTS has been testing out optimal conditions for treating recirculation water in fish farming. So far, the project has given Clarity more understanding of some of the important parameters influencing the Clarity Protein skimmer in these settings. Clarity will continue this work in order to be able to offer the optimal solution for these types of customers.

Knut Frederik Horn takes on the full-time position of CEO of Clarity WTS. He has worked part-time for Clarity for the previous 6 months, in order to complete his engagement at WWF-Norway (World Wildlife Fund).
Knut has a PhD in education and 19 years experience from off-shore and shipping. He worked 14 years as a teacher at TREIDER private college, and as marketing director of WWF-Norway for the past seven years. His experience and network will be a great asset to the future development of the company.
